Temperature and humidity

In addition to its solidity, the Turtle is well insulated with a strong polyester exterior which helps to retain the right temperature. During the test phases of Turtle, research showed that during 24-hours of transport variations in a temperature were +/- 1.5oC based on a humidity of 51.3%.
For added insurance, we also offer Turtle crates complete with a tracking system. A chip is installed into the crate and a reading device (located in our fine art trucks) can read the location (in Europe) and the temperature inside the Turtle. This information can be obtained from a secured page on the internet.
Although the Turtle has been designed to sustain the temperature and humidity during transportation, it's important to note that the turtle has not been designed to store artwork temporarily or for an extended time period and no tests have been done to this extent.
