Introductie

In recent years more and more big exhibitions have been organised at the international level. As a result, Hizkia Van Kralingen, an international museum logistics company, saw an increase in requests for a reliable and flexible climate-controlled crates for the transport of high-valuable artwork. Together with the Gemeentemuseum Den Haag and the University of Twente the Turtle was created. The experience of Hizkia Van Kralingen combined with the demands of a museum and the technical input of a university have helped to make the Turtle a solid, reliable polyester climate-controlled crate which is designed with a flexible system with which art can be packed efficiently and safely.

Turtle BV aims to be professional in art-handling. Therefore, our first concern is to ensure a reliable and safe way in which art can be packed. The techniques in the handling and preservation of art have progressed immensely in recent years and Turtle aims to be ahead of this progression to ensure that transport in the Turtle is one of the safest, and remains one of the safest.
